In the year 1950, scientists began performing experiments with cloning. They limited these experiments to the residents of a small town called New Okie. Their experiments were a success in some ways, but changed the town forever in many others.

It's been over fifty years since the New Okie experiments of 1950. The residents of New Okie aren't much different than the residents of any other small town. The children attend school every day, while the adults go to work. The teenagers get a little rowdy sometimes, but it's never anything their parents can't handle. The one thing that sets them apart from other small town residents? Every resident of New Okie has a double. A twin or a triplet, is most common, but there are sometimes even more than that. Having a single child is uncommon and considered unlucky.

Any single child born into the town since the 1950 experiments has, at best, been born with some kind of birth defect. At worst, they died before their first birthday. This is the story of the residents of New Okie and their journey to living a normal life.

OH, HEY:
IT'S AN UPDATE!
We're doing great and we've got quite a lot of activity going on! There are a few things I'd like to mention -- a few changes and additions that have already been made to D.V.

First off, we've just started a new buddy system, where members are set up to thread together. Signing up is entirely optional and even after you're paired, it's not required that you thread with the person. We're hoping this will be a way to get those who wouldn't normally thread together involved in some fun plots.

Second, we've opened up our first site-wide event. A few days after D.V. opened, I started up a discussion for the members to toss around some ideas of what they'd like to see as far as our first event went. They eventually decided on a combination carnival and masquerade ball. It should be a fun, exciting event, especially given that it's already hard enough to tell the characters apart from their siblings!

Lastly, our first ever activity check is in progress. I want to make sure that all characters are active and being played, as siblings are a pretty big part of the board. I also want to make sure all popular faces are being played as often as they should be. It's a simple process and no characters will be deleted; rather, they'll be moved to an inactive user group, should the owner decide they'd like to reclaim their character.

There is definitely room for new characters and new members over at D.V., so come on over and join the fun!

OH, HEY:
IT'S AN UPDATE!

We've just won first place in RPG-D's 'Forum of the Fortnight' competition!
We've been going strong for three months now and
with summer rolling around, we're hoping our activity will pick up a lot.
We still have active threads, great members, and plenty of plotting opportunities.
Come see what the fuss is all about!
