Title: CHANGE IN STAFF!

CARRIE! - August 17, 2009 05:17 PM (GMT)
Okay, so some of you have noticed that there was some changes in staff. Well now there are a lot of changes in staff. There have been issues with activity for some staff members and for others it was a matter of they just resigned because life did not allow them the time to work on the site any longer. Whether inactive or retiring we shall miss said staff members.

Before I continue on I want to apologize for keeping you all in the dark but I have recently had a lot thrown on my plate when it comes to my work on this site. I needed time to adjust think and figure out what in the world I was going to do and how I was going to do it. I know it sounds odd but if you look at the next paragraph you'll get an explanation!

So about 2.5 weeks ago I get a message from Malin our beloved head admin and creator of RPGU. She has got a lot on her hands with life and felt she needed to hand over the reigns of RPGU to another person that lucky person was me. Malin will still float around on the site will still have admin powers but she is not to be bothered about Admin things any longer.

Anyway it took me half a week to get my head in the game and start up a staff activity check and staff re-organization thread. I needed to give staff time to reply so thus the wait as I figured out who was still active and who wanted to be on what team. So what you see now in in the side bar pertaining to staff is our current staff.

Now I hear you going, "Wait Carrie the headings are different!" And my reply is "Indeed they are!" with the change of the staffing I decided it was time to reformat things. Thus Challenges and awards got meshed together.

The next thing I hear you say is "Are there new people on staff?" yes and no. Some of our former staff had name changes as of last time the side bar was updated so some of your old staff still remains but under a different name.

There is however a NEW member of coding! Please welcome never look back. she is an excellent coder and will be a great asset to the coding team!

Now last bit of info in this already LONG post! (yay!) As you can see we are kinda hurting for staff. This is something I am going to be working on. I have a LOT of plans for the site, such as cutting out unused areas. Combining things that are repetitive down to one section AND even formulating a new section to the boar which will include a new team (the critique team). I am hoping by months end, mid September at the latest to have a brand spanking new look for RPGU and things all nice and organized.

During this time things will change and you are free to ask about the changes. Also there will be a staff hiring thread coming up in the future as well. Please bear with me as changes are made, if you have questions or concerns you know how to get a hold of me and the rest of the staff.

Can I post here? Well I mean I technically can, since Invision hasn't stopped me, so it's more like it is allowed and such. lol Oh I'll post anyway. =D

Hi! I'm Brook, aka never look back., aka whatever other random nicknames I've received over the years. I code and skin (vBulletin, Invisionfree, and am in the process of learning Zetaboards). I'm on a couple of other resource boards too, but with the same username for ease of recognition. I'm excited to help out on RPGU. You've got questions, the Coding team's got answers. <333

Yeah Brook you are allowed to post here. I would have locked it otherwise. Thanks for introducing yourself seeing as you are the new member of staff!
